Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
The Marketing Specialist for Variety Care will be a critical member of the outreach team that acts as the external and internal representative of Variety Care across all organizational levels.
The Marketing Specialist’s primary role is to identify, establish, develop and maintain communication within the organization, assist with copy writing, lead all social media platforms, and assist with in-person community events. This position will work closely with the Outreach team to increase awareness, knowledge of Variety Care’s services, and to increase patient utilization of Variety Care services and programs.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Brainstorm with team members to develop creative ideas for promotional events and campaigns to execute successful events.
Assist in outbound or inbound marketing activities by demonstrating expertise in various areas (content development and optimization, advertising, events planning, etc.).
Plan and execute initiatives to reach the target audience through appropriate channels (social media, e-mail, TV, etc.).
Create graphics as needed and write copy for all marketing campaigns.
Maintain awareness on best practice marketing techniques/tools to achieve successful campaigns and promotions.
Develop and execute marketing initiatives to appeal to target audience using appropriate channels such as social media and traditional media.
Develop means of measuring effectiveness of marketing and promotional campaigns, including advertising and communications strategies.
Organize, attend, and/or participate in special events and promotions advocating for Variety Care and our patients.
Assist with serving as the secondary bilingual liaison for Variety Care at local community meetings and special events.
Work in collaboration with the Outreach Team to develop marketing and branding material needed to increase patient utilization.
Travels as needed to other Variety Care sites, community events or meetings, etc.

Education, Work Experience and Specialized Skills/Knowledge
Bachelor’s degree in the marketing, communications or similar relevant field or a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 2-3 years of working experience.
In-depth knowledge of traditional and digital marketing and market research methods.
Create images and animations that identify a concept or convey a message utilizing Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Creative Cloud.
Outstanding communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Must have the ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects.
Ability to write clean copy for internal and external communications preferred.
Must have interpersonal skills and ability to lead projects and be a team player.
Public speaking and presentations are required.
Must possess and maintain a valid Oklahoma driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record. The employee provides own transportation and must have proof of liability insurance also required.
Mileage reimbursement is provided at the Federal rate.
Preferred Skills or Knowledge:
Bilingual in Spanish and English.
Ability to lift 25 pounds.
Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
