Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The Marketing Specialist I for Variety Care will be a critical member of the outreach. The Marketing Specialist’s primary role is to identify, establish, develop and maintain communication within the organization, assist with copywriting, lead all organic social media efforts across all platforms, respond to online question, assist with SEO, and assist with in-person community events. This position will work closely with the Outreach team to increase awareness, knowledge of Variety Care’s services, and to increase patient utilization of Variety Care services and programs.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Brainstorms with team members to develop creative ideas for promotional events and campaigns to execute successful campaigns.
Assists in outbound or inbound marketing activities by demonstrating expertise in various areas (content development and optimization, advertising, events planning, etc.).
Plans and executes initiatives to reach target audiences through appropriate channels (social media, e-mail, TV, Google, etc.).
Creates graphics as needed and assist with copywriting for marketing campaigns, digital displays, collateral and special projects as needed.
Maintains awareness of marketing best practices/tools to achieve successful campaigns and promotions.
Develops and executes marketing initiatives to appeal to target audience using appropriate channels such as digital media and traditional media.
Develops means of measuring effectiveness of marketing and promotional campaigns, including advertising and communications strategies.
Organizes, attends, and/or participates in special events and promotions advocating for Variety Care and our patients.
Collaborates with outreach team to develop branding material needed to increase patient utilization and track return on investment.
Coordinates all print production with external vendors.
Addresses all interior sign requests.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements, Special Skills or Knowledge:
Bachelor’s degree or minimum of two (2) years of experience working in the marketing, communications, or similar relevant field.
Expert knowledge of traditional and digital marketing and market research methods.
Experience with creating images and animations that identify a concept or convey a message utilizing Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Creative Cloud.
Expert communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
Expert organizational and time management skills.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects.
Experience writing clean copy for internal and external communications preferred.
Ability to lead projects and be a team player.
Experience in public speaking and presentations.
Preferred Requirements, Special Skills or Knowledge:
Ability to lift 25 pounds.
Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
