Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications for Price College, the Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for the development and promotion of marketing and public relations campaigns and for managing incoming projects from the various College divisions and departments. This role is also responsible for ensuring the College¿s brand and reputation is strengthened, amplified, and protected as a means to realize strategic objectives in areas such as student recruitment, corporate relations, faculty thought leadership, philanthropy, and alumni relations and engagement. The Manager manages a small team of student workers and interns within the College.
Primary Responsibilities
- Creates and leads the execution of marketing and communication campaigns from start to finish, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration
- Manage the College’s social media presence, including maintaining a content calendar, creating or obtaining creative assets, engaging with key stakeholders, and serving as the College’s front-line communication to various audiences
- Creating content (written and visual) for internal and external audiences for digital and traditional marketing channels, including but not limited to social media, newsletters, email content, press releases, announcements, website content, talking points, event scripts, and other marketing publications
- Assisting with media relations, including coordinating interviews, handling media requests, writing press releases/media advisories, updating the media database, and coordinating with University media relations.
- Performs research, analyzes data, and assists with the development and implementation of marketing, communications, and media strategies
- Manages incoming marketing requests from various divisions and departments within the College, determines timelines, and collaborates with the Marketing and Communications Team to complete requests
- Serves as support for the board of advisors marketing standing committee
- Assists the Events Coordinator with College-wide events and the Webmaster with website updates, as needed
- Contribute to the overall success of the College by performing all other essential duties as assigned

Job Requirements
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or a related field, AND:
24 months experience in marketing, public relations or communications
Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree for a total of 72 months of related experience
Skills:
- Proven project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines, including utilizing a project management system
- Proficiency with online marketing and social media strategy, including paid social and utilizing a social media management software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Excellent interpersonal skills, including working with a diverse group of faculty, staff, and student
- Demonstrated knowledge of the higher education environment

Must be able to engage in repetitive motions and communicate well with others.

Experience with the following software products: Adobe Creative Suite, Canva Pro, Asana, MailChimp, Content Management Systems, Google Analytics
