Operating under the administrative oversight of the Chief Development and Marketing Officer, the Marketing and Communications Specialist is responsible for implementing marketing and communications plans for both internal and external audiences. This role is crucial in maintaining Sunbeam’s brand integrity and driving engagement through various digital and print channels and designing marketing pieces for the agency.

$20.60-$21.22/hr
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Chief Development and Marketing Officer to create comprehensive marketing and communications strategies.
Ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials.
Design, create, test, promote, and monitor digital and print marketing initiatives, including flyers, website content, social media posts, billboards, ads, and the annual report.
Design marketing materials/templates for the agency.
Oversee Sunbeam’s online t-shirt store and promotional material orders.
Develop and manage content for social media platforms (i.e. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn), including strategy and performance metrics.
Oversee the Sunbeam website, including content updates and monthly Google Analytics reports to inform strategy.
Support the internal intranet, The Beam, with content and updates.
Utilize Canva, AI, Google Analytics, and Microsoft Office Suite to create compelling marketing materials.
Produce videos for social media to effectively tell Sunbeam’s story.
Prioritize projects and manage deadlines effectively.
Assist with special event logistics and fundraising efforts, representing Sunbeam at various engagements.
Work occasional weekends and weeknights as needed.
Travel locally as required.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor or Executive Team members.

Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications related field such as Public Relations, New Media, Journalism, Digital Marketing, Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Strategic Communications or Advertising.

Proficient in desktop and online versions of Microsoft Office applications, as well as Canva.
Ability to learn and master other computer technology/software programs, as needed.

Excellent command of English language and grammar, both verbal and written.
Excellent conceptual, written, and verbal skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Ability to collaborate and work well within a team environment and with multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, community partners, organizations, and other key stakeholders.

Able to successfully use standard office equipment.
Local travel required and must have valid Oklahoma driver’s license and insurance as required by the position.
Proficient in utilizing Google Analytics and Adobe Creative Suite.
