Public Strategies (PS) is a nationally respected consulting, project management, and marketing firm based in Oklahoma City. Position Summary
The Project Budget Specialist is responsible for assessing project resources and maintaining current and timely project budgets. This position will create and maintain budgets and programmatic reports based on program needs, deliverables, and available funding. In addition, this position will perform complex tasks, analyze confidential data, and maximize resources to fit the short and long-term needs of the organization.
Essential Job Functions
Create, manage, monitor, and track programmatic and project tasks
Coordinate with Program Director or Program Managers to prepare, modify, and maintain project budgets
Identify budget to actual variances and implement adjustments in coordination with Program Managers
Conduct program reporting, project management and data analysis
Assess, plan and implement special projects
Compile reports and summaries of work
Update and complete records, forms and documents
Conduct data analysis; synthesize and/or create reports and spreadsheets based on program needs or deliverables
Monitor benchmarks and make recommendations for change
Provide administrative support related to the overall management of the program
Allocate labor resources across multiple projects
Other duties as assigned
Education/Training
Bachelors degree in Business Management, Finance or Accounting, Sociology or Social Work, or equivalent, required
Experience
Two or more years experience with budgeting, forecasting, and maintaining confidentiality of salary and proprietary information, required
Experience in project management, data analysis, and grant funding/reporting, preferred
Special Requirements
Must be proficient in MS Word, Power Point, Outlook
Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, for example analyzing large data sets by utilizing macros and pivot tables
willingness to continue to improve and learn additional skills to optimize performance
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, required
Analyze and summarize data for reports, create solutions, organize, and prioritize work
Essential Physical Requirements
Sufficient mobility and strength to move about the facility. Ability to be mobile throughout the community.
