Public Strategies (PS) is a nationally respected consulting, project management, and marketing firm based in Oklahoma City. The Master Trainer will serve as the learning leader, planning, developing, and executing various curricula and training focused on low income and/or disadvantaged populations, including and/or research projects in areas of behavioral and mental health, workforce development job training, character development, and relationship education, and other areas in innovative ways that combine these efforts to create positive impacts.
The Master Trainer participates in a continuous learning agenda combining key insights around effective engagement with evidenced based skills attainment designed to provide measurable impact to those involved. The Master Trainer performs multifaceted, time-sensitive functions to ensure that high-quality research-informed curriculum content is designed to build adult capacity and healthy relationships, both independently and with guidance from senior-level staff.
The Master Trainer will deliver timely delivery best-in-class training to programs to help participants achieve economic stability, family empowerment, and self-sufficiency. This person will be an accomplished coalition and consensus builder who is comfortable guiding groups of educators with varying levels of experience to competency in facilitating content. This position requires particular attention to detail, organization, confidentiality, and dependability.
Essential Job Functions
Facilitate experiential learning opportunities with educators, facilitators, and frontline program staff in the identified curricula or skills attainment areas needed
Implement capacity needs assessments and use results to inform curricula development
Lead small group activities and individual coaching discussions that reinforce training or workshop content and generate insight into continued learning
Facilitate train the trainer events and participate in workshops to model appropriate educator conduct and demonstrate dynamic facilitation skills
Facilitate meetings, and make presentations to internal and external customers
Conduct, analyze, interpret, report and present varying levels of research and analysis to support project deliverables, including translating research to curricula development and training, providing guidance on best practices, and making recommendations based on evaluation findings
Develop and implement virtual, in-person, and hybrid instructional strategies, processes, systems, and evaluations for measuring the reach and impact of strategies, curricula, training, and initiatives
Develop strategies and tools for programs to address participant-specific needs in collaboration with program leadership and staff to ensure quality implementation of curricula content
Document processes, accomplishments, and process improvement steps related to content creation, service delivery implementation, and/or research activities for senior staff and programs
Blend creativity and strategic thinking with a relentless focus on delivering outcomes to ensure all curricula and training adheres to Public Strategies mission, timelines, and the latest trends
Develop and/or apply subject matter expertise to projects; continually improve knowledge base around emerging policy, research, and practice areas
Edit new and adapt existing content/courses to maintain continuity of our systematic design and delivery framework, and for use with online and blended educational environments
Participate in new business development activities, as needed
Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor to meet reasonable operational and/or other requirements
Bachelors Degree, required
5+ years of relevant experience or documented expertise in a related field, preferred
Relevant fields and disciplines include business, social sciences, humanities, public administration, public policy, education, not-for-profit management, and related fields.
Strong history of education or training in the areas of adult learning, couples programs, and/or the facilitation of educational programs for adults a plus, and such training may be considered in lieu of other educational requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, other Information Communication Technology (ICT) tools
Excellent facilitation skills with demonstrated experience facilitating in a range of contexts and topics
Demonstrated knowledge and experience using learner-centered teaching methodologies
Strong content knowledge in areas of behavioral and mental health, workforce development job training, character development, relationship education, and other areas in innovative ways that combine these efforts to create positive impacts
Excellent written, oral and communication and analytical skills with strong ability to effectively translate research into understandable information for wide dissemination, required
Experience and expertise in designing and implementing wide range of methods and approaches to professional development and capacity building
Experience working on large scale, multi-dimensional projects involving multiple partner organizations, government contracts, and competing priorities, strongly preferred
A working knowledge of existing Public Strategies endorsed curricula such as Prevention, Relationship Education Program (PREP) or Becoming Parents Program (BPP) preferred
Knowledge of social services and community systems serving couples, or families preferred
Proactive and creative, and able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced work environment while fulfilling priorities and meeting critical deadlines
Proven work experience in digital learning courses and content development preferred
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed and function well under pressure
Personable, self-motivated, hard-working, flexible, detail-oriented, critical thinker, and flexible.
