Position Summary
Public Strategies, is a nationally respected project consulting firm, based in Oklahoma City, with federal, state, and local clients seeking a range of services to include project management, program development and management, and communications/marketing. A large-scale service center in Oklahoma City provides vulnerable Oklahomans with a range of supports for gaining or improving their employment situations or strengthening families, two areas where Public Strategies is widely respected for its implementation of research-informed solutions. Other team members provide training and technical assistance to hundreds of government agencies and/or programs across the country that are working to become change agents in either the human services or employment fields, with PS providing expertise in performance management, best practices, and effective adult learning strategies. Finally, a full-scale marketing team provides modern day technology and effective communication solutions to meet the demands of PS programs and for businesses and organizations that seek the expertise of a unique and dynamic marketing team.
Family Support Coach (FSC) monitors and facilitates workshop completion and provides individualized support to couples enrolled in the Family Expectations (FE) program through reminder phone calls, consistent follow up and assessment of couple’s relationship challenges and immediate needs. The FSC will connect couples with community resources especially related to employment and mental health. As needed, the FSC will also reinforce the use of skills learned in workshops, and serve as a liaison between couples and the Family Expectations Educators (FEE).
Essential Job Functions
Facilitate and encourage workshop attendance by identifying and reducing barriers that might prevent couples for participating in the program.
Develop rapport and relationships that keep couples engaged in the program especially through phone, text, email messages, mail, collateral numbers, office and home visits.
Meet an 80% key performance indicator of caseload-workshop completion
Offer individualized assistance and support by assessing couples’ needs through case management principles
Integrate curriculum and develop goal plan with couples under case management
Meet regularly with the Family Support Manager to review couples program participation and relationship progress
Facilitate participation to employment, education and mental health assistance through program partner services
Maintain a case notes and files within established protocols in Management Information System (DMS) and other files and data base systems that are established.
Follow understanding of policy and procedures

Education/Training
Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Studies, Psychology or equivalent, required
Three years of equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of education
Experience
One year experience in social services and knowledge of community resources, required
Special Requirements
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including week nights and weekends
Ability to multi-task
Essential Physical Requirements
Sufficient mobility and strength to move about the facility. Ability to be mobile throughout the community
