Position Summary
The Contract Manager will work alongside Accounting, Business Development, Human Resources and Program Managers throughout the contract lifecycle to provide guidance and maximize value. The position requires strategic thinking, troubleshooting, and working with various teams/team members to drive tasks to completion efficiently and accurately.
Essential Job Functions
Successfully meet deadlines and ensure compliance during proposal preparation, contract administration and post-award management of federal and state grants and contracts.
Coordinate and communicate funding, budget, period of performance and statement of work revisions to program and finance teams for contracts and subcontracts.
Draft and review terms and conditions for subcontracts, authorization to proceed notices, modifications, closeout procedures and other contract related documents.
Administer contract activities for a variety of contract types, including cost reimbursable, time and material, and firm fixed price for federal, state, and commercial contracts.
Input and maintain all contract actions into the accounting system (JAMIS) and contract management system (Concord).
Monitor compliance with contract requirements and lead change management process.
Interpret, apply, and follow contract acquisition rules, company policies, and customer specifications.
Effectively communicate, verbally and written, with both internal and external customers
Other duties as assigned.
Education/Training
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, preferred.
Experience
Three or more years prior experience in a federal contract administration role is required.
Thorough knowledge of contract lifecycle, contract types, Federal Acquisition Regulation, accounting principles and finance.
Able to work productively independently and as part of a team.
Must have excellent analytical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities.
Should exhibit strong organizational and time management abilities.
Special Requirements
Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional nights and weekends as needed to implement processes and respond to solicitations
Strong Microsoft Excel skills for analyzing large data sets utilizing macros and pivot tables; ability to continue to improve and learn additional techniques to optimize performance
Familiarity with laws and regulations relating to federal contracts, grant administration, accounting, contracting, and budgets; maintenance of complex and confidential records.
Ability to plan, coordinate, and track multiple ongoing projects.
Occasional airline and overnight travel may be required for trainings and meetings.
Essential Physical Requirements
Sufficient mobility and strength to move about the facility. Ability to be mobile throughout the community.
