Job Description
Director of Public Relations
We are looking for a Public Relations professional who will oversee, develop, and execute a strategic PR plan that increases awareness and positive perception of the mission of the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS). This individual will develop and maintain rapport with media organizations, journalists, and other influencers. The ideal candidate will be skilled in crisis communication as well as managing public perceptions.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, or related field
Six years of professional-level experience in writing, editing, radio and/or television, public relations or serving as a public information manager
OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
Special Requirements:
Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position.
