A Creative Leader with an Art Direction Background
You traffic in ideas – a macro thinker with micro-level attention to visual detail. Creative briefs go in, and ideas and images come out: sketches, mood boards, and thought starters. The expected is boring. Inspiration comes from anything and everything: a Tiktok, a nature doc, a conversation, or a vacation from five years ago. Your brain makes strategic connections – and visuals are your weapon of choice.
Responsibilities
Works closely with the Creative Director to lead the Creative Team
Teams up with Art Directors and Copywriters to develop the creative concept (big idea) behind our clients’ brands and campaigns
Communicates with the Creative and Video teams to ensure high-level projects are creatively in-sync, best practices are followed, and the dots all connect
Use research and strategic thinking to understand goals and the audience
Be a problem-solver and create work that lands visually and verbally
Develop and evolve the visual identity of brands
Provides constructive feedback to ensure our creative accomplishes the goals of the brief
Challenges peers on the creative team to hone their craft and become better marketers
Stays in tune with the latest trends in the industry while rooted in solid fundamentals
Present work internally and externally to sell your ideas
Provide guidance and mentorship to the team
Proof design before it goes into production
Requirements
Must be a motivated self-starter with a solid understanding of advertising, branding, and marketing
Must have solid leadership skills; be comfortable with collaboration
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign); bonus points for specialization in additional software (Procreate, Google Web Designer, Elementor, Figma, etc.)
5+ years of experience in an agency, in-house, or freelance setting
Must be an overall good human being
