Social Media Specialist

Position Summary

The Social Media Specialist is responsible for developing and executing a strategic social media plan across Dental Depot’s channels to build brand awareness, engage with target audiences, drive traffic to websites, and complement marketing goals by creating compelling content, monitoring interactions, analyzing data, and adapting strategies based on performance metrics.

• Manage social media marketing campaigns and day-to-day content activities for all Dental Depot entities
• Create, curate, and manage all published content
• Facilitate relationships with external vendors and internal Dental Depot staff that provide regular and open communication of potential content gathering opportunities
• Update and monitor the annual marketing calendar to stay ahead of and plan for upcoming social media events and related marketing campaigns
• Proactively research social media content, topics and events throughout Dental Depots regions, monitoring social media presence of local and regional competitors
• Design, create and manage promotions and social ad campaigns that integrate with the company’s overall marketing campaign plan
• Aggregate weekly and as-needed reporting from Sprout Social on engagement, post-performance and related metrics
• Participate in developing digital content, social media strategy
• Assist with planning, writing and editing quarterly internal newsmagazine and company blogs
• Liaise with regional managers, recruitment, operations, clinical, Ortho, etc. on special projects and events
• Present new ideas and initiatives to team members
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance
• Remain up-to-date and aware of industry trends
• Actively and enthusiastically contribute to the team
• Complies with: Dental Depot policies and procedures; OSHA policies, procedures, rules, and regulations; and HIPAA policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.

Position Qualifications 

Education: Bachelor’s Degree (four-year college or technical school) Preferred, Field of Study: Marketing or related field.
  
Experience: 2+ years of experience as a Social Media Marketer, Social Media Marketing Manager or similar role with video creation and editing for reels, shorts, Tik Tok and other platforms.

Computer Skills: Efficiently operates assigned computer software and other equipment, including Microsoft Office Suite, WordPress, and Sprout Social.
