The Oklahoma City American Marketing Association (AMAOKC) will be hosting David Lewis, Sr. Vice President of Franchising for Express Employment Professionals on Thursday, June 11 from 11:30 to 1:00pm at Will Rogers Theater.
Lewis, will speak on the workplace and share lessons from his book, The Emerging Leader: Eight Lessons for Life in Leadership and his personal insights. He will explain how the world of work is being reshaped; the presentation will incorporate aspects of generational differences, leading through change and strategic innovation – which are very important for marketing groups of any size.
Speaker Bio: “Named one of the “100 Most Influential People in the Staffing Industry” by Staffing Industry Analysts, David Lewis, Sr. broke into the staffing and recruiting business in college, followed by a season on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C.. Today, he wears many hats including Vice President of Franchising for the $2.8 billion industry giant Express Employment Professionals; responsible for domestic and international expansion. With Express since 2001, David has helped Express grow to become one of the 100 largest private employers in the United States – so David understands the power of job creation better than most.
David has a passion for public service. He has been appointed by both Democrat and Republican Governors to serve as an advisor on workforce and economic development matters. He is a past nominee to the Oklahoma House of Representatives, and is a multi-year “40 Under 40” award winner. He holds a bachelor¹s degree from Southern Nazarene University with graduate work underway at Columbia Business School and the London Business School.
