Social (6ft) behind the Sidelines

On game nights you can find Coby Van Loan prowling the sidelines taking photos and videos for the Oklahoma City Thunder social channels. Whether it’s hiding in the corner while the team huddles up, sitting behind a computer editing and posting, or standing underneath the basket waiting to run out to the court after the final buzzer, no two game nights are alike. On a normal day, Coby manages the day-to-day and long-term content development of the Thunder, Oklahoma City Blue, and entertainer accounts (Rumble the Bison, Thunder Girls, etc. social media accounts). She works closely with every department in the organization to develop social media marketing campaigns so Thunder can produce the best possible content for each one of their various channels. This experience has given her a unique perspective and first-hand insight into the NBA fan base and what captivates them.  In 2021, Coby left the comforts of OKC and embarked on her journey inside the now legendary “NBA Bubble”. In this presentation, Coby will recall stories from her time with the Thunder, the NBA Bubble, and her experience producing content on one of the world’s biggest stages.
