Breaking the fourth wall: Music Theatre, Marketing and the Importance of Connecting with Your Audience
“Breaking the fourth wall” happens when a performer makes a direct connection with the audience, shattering the illusion of fiction or fantasy that’s otherwise taking place. In marketing, we’re all doing our best to create processes, tell stories and sell ideas, but sometimes we too have to “get real” with our clients, have some side conversations and set the record straight. When and how should we “break the fourth wall” with our clients and their audiences?
