PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD
2020 was out of this world, but how did Oklahoma’s brightest marketers blow their competition out of this galaxy? They submitted Marketing Excellence entries to show off their ELEVATED strategies and star-gazing results.
Below are the best of the 2021 Marketing Excellence Award’s campaigns. They are not arranged in a particular order. Your “votes” will determine this year’s People’s Choice Awards.

Restore OKC
- Through the creation of two website landing pages and a corporate social media campaign and ad budget of $500, Siren Media raised $41,989 for Restore OKC which was 68% over their stated goal.
- 13,041 individuals reached
- 4,984 engagements

SMIRK NEW MEDIA
Silver Linens Timeless Jewelry Campaign
- Smirk New Media was successful in executing a multichannel campaign for Silver Linens Jewelry to reach a targeted audience.
- Reached over 152,776 potential customers, exceeding our goal by 2,955.00%
- Increased site traffic by over 4,900 link clicks, exceeding our goal by 200%
- Acquired over 230,000 ad impressions, exceeding our goal by 1,075%

VI MARKETING & BRANDING
Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department Fishing Trail
- VI’s “OTRD Fishing Trail Campaign” was successful in increasing tourism and lodging revenue for Oklahoma by using a variety of digital marketing tactics to launch the brand, educate on fishing regulations and destinations.
- The advertising investment of $90,000 generated over $8.2 million in projected lodging revenue according to their Adara analytics.
- 50,726 users driven to TravelOK.com
- 3,000+ fishing license orders

BEYOND THEORY CREATIVE
Salazar Roofing Rebrand
- Beyond Theory Creative’s Rebrand Campaign was successful in creating a new bold, contemporary and unified look for Salazar Roofing which was utilized across all marketing channels including outdoor, video and social media.
- Paid social media for the year after the video went live in April 2020 saw them achieve a reach of 557k and 4.5M impressions.
- With their efforts driving people to get a quote on the Salazar site, using the brand film as the creative, they saw an 86.43% increase in landing page views in 2020 versus the same time frame in 2019 (April through December).

SUMMIT MACHINE TOOL
Multi-Channel Prospecting
- Summit’s marketing department (of one) created a holistic, multi-channel prospect nurturing 6-month campaign to reach customers at different stages of the long sales journey and increased sales from 2019, despite COVID’s negative effect on the manufacturing industry.
- The initial goal was to increase phone calls by 10%. Incoming sales calls during this time increased 28%.
- The initial goal for digital ads was to increase impressions by 500,000. Impressions increased by 1.448M or 196%.
- The initial goal was to increase average email open rate. Average open rate of emails prior to 2020:10.4%. Average open rate during this time period was 14.5%.
Initial goal was to increase online Request A Quote Form submissions by 10%. Submissions during this time period increased 17%. - Campaign Entered – Marketer of One

MIDFIRST BANK
MidFirst Bank: Our Mission
- MidFirst Bank’s Our Mission Campaign utilized a mix of digital, media and print communication to react quickly to the COVID-19 pandemic in order to educate and assist it’s customers on the SBA PPP Loans and Consumer Stimulus payments.
- More than 11,000 loans to customers.
- 150,000+ paychecks protected from the loans given to small businesses.
- More than $1.5 Billion in funds were provided to small businesses.
- Increased communications across all platforms.
